Carluke's Tom Dick celebrates his 101st birthday
Tom Dick, a resident in Milton Grange, Carluke, celebrated his 101st birthday with a surprise visit from a group of choristers from Stonehouse Male Voice Choir. Tom was a former singer in the choir.
This miniature choir performed some songs to the delight of both Tom and the residents and staff.
Tom had a lifetime in teaching, spending many years as classics teacher at Dalziel High School in Motherwell, where he was depute rector, and finally rector from 1974 until 1978.
