It’s teddy bears galore thanks to Clarkston and Giffnock Knitting for All group
The bears were knitted by members of the Knitting For All: Clarkston & Giffnock class, run by knitting tutor Helen Howard. The group meets on Wednesday mornings, 1-11.30am, in the Costa coffee shop at Clarkston Toll.
The ladies have been busy knitting Comfort Bears in response to an appeal by Scottish charity Children 1st, and welcomed Children 1st chairman, Dr Ken Cunningham, to present the bears to him. Ken spoke of the Children 1st appeal to provide Comfort Bears to Police Scotland to support children who have been affected by crime. The bears donated by this class will go to police stations in the Greater Glasgow area.
